    In my continuing saga of attacking oxidized gel cote, my most recent success was using M50 with a 8006 pad. That was after going over the fiberglass with Bon Ami to remove the bulk of the oxidation. I had tried M67, but didn't have much luck with it, I think it really needs a rotary. #50 was much easier to work with, and did a great job, but I can still see a need for more improvement. (Reading this forum sure inspires one to seek perfection.... )

    But in reading an old post from Superior Shine, I see he uses M49 with the maroon 7006 pad on the PC to get the oxidation off.

    Gel Cote is definitely harder to work then paint, and it does need something aggressive if it's oxidized.

    Anybody else do this? Or is this just a good idea for an expert like Joe?
