  • fixing deeper scratches?

today i sadly found deeper scratches on the side of my car. they look too straight and perfect to be done by a person, so either a part of a car scraped across it or maybe tree branches did.

my fingernail catches on some of the scratches so they are kinda deep.

what can i do? please help.

i've had good luck with lighter scratches using heavy duty rubbing compound followed by an abrasive polish -> colorx -> nxt wax

but don't think it'll work this time on something deeper

Sometimes all you can do is improve a scratch, not competely remove a scratch.

Rub the scratches out really well with ScratchX and the apply some wax.

If you have a dual action polisher, then machine clean the affected area using a cleaner/polish and then apply wax.

Besides that the only other option is have the area repainted.
