Meguiar's vs Zaino

What I always find interesting about threads like the one linked to is that everybody wants to talk about easy on/easy off and water beading. You don't see many discussions about using a machine and a good polish to remove swirls and other defects. Paint care, real paint care, is about so much more than slapping a coat of wax on your car every six months.
Zaino is a very good product with fantastic marketing behind it, but when you need more weapons in your detailing arsenal it's really hard to beat the choices Meguiar's offers, both for paint care and interior and trim detailing as well. Add to that the fact that Meguiar's stuff just plain works, gives an incredible shine, and is far less expensive, then to me the choice becomes pretty much a no-brainer.Michael Stoops

Re: Meguiar's vs Zaino
It's pretty simple and straightforward...
If you want the best, use Meguiar's. Why support a company that resorts to unsavory marketing practices and fails to let their products "do the talking" (seems like the zealots have this covered already)? Heck, twelve coats of Zaino in the previous picture looked absolutely horrible compared to one coat of NXT. I'm not trying to knock Zaino, but just don't give me the usual "optical clarity" garbage when there is no quantitative method for measuring such an attribute. When you get right down to it, optical clarity is nothing more than some false idea deeply rooted into the heads of people that use Zaino in the first place.
I'll leave my money and support 100% to Meguiar's, hands down. Let's see Sal try to come up with an online web forum, a television show created for dedicated car enthusiasts, and on top of that make frequent appearances for all of his loyal fans. It's a safe bet that such a thing isn't happening anytime soon. Meguiar's attention to their customers and actually providing customer service is what separates them from the rest.
Sorry, Meguiar's wins easily in this argument. The depth (no pun intended) of their product lines far exceeds most, if not all, other companies in the industry.Jeff

Re: Meguiar's vs Zaino
I think Mike preaches "Find something you like and use it often." Couldn't be more true. I dont judge a product by its brand, or its package. The reason I use so many Meguairs products is simple. I researched, tested, and the products performed. I cant agree with everyone saying that NXT is the best product. I believe a pass of 80, 82, then 21, topped with 16 (or 26) is by far the best combo.

Re: Meguiar's vs Zaino
The thing that attracted me to Meguiar's was the range of their products, the availability, and the pricing. I like that a lot of their products can be found OTC and through dealers. I like that it is relatively cheaper than other brands and that it performs well.
