Metal Polish on coated rims?

Can you use metal polish on metal rims that have a coating? I have an Audi A4 and want to remove brake dust and keep the rims looking new, but the rims have a coating on them. I was told metal polish would work wonders. Am I better off with the hi-tech wheel cleaner?

Any help would be great.

Nxt Metal Polysh is clear coat safe, but if you rims are clear coated, you can also use products like ScratchX, and wax.

But either way, the All-Wheel or Multi-piece wheel cleaner will be good to get off the big dirt before polishing.
