Don't use Dawn as it is not what you should be using to remove wax.
Just wash then clay and use something like DC1, ScratchX, et cetera to remove wax.
Or after claying, which removes the majority of wax, go to #83 or #80. There is no need to use cleaner wax to clean before doign #80 or #83 as both #80 and #83 among other things have cleaners in them as well. they won't have any problems breaking down wax, but you do want to see the before and after results.
