  • tight, thin spaces/edges

    Hi guys,
    I recently attended a class hosted by mike and learned a ton!! I bought a pc7336 and have a hitachi rotary on the way as well as a few hundred dollars of meg's products.

    how do you guys polish (83, for example) on non-rounded corners, the "skinny" painted portion of the frame around the windshield (2.5-3.0 inch width) with your buffers...or do you? I know you have to tape the car, but some of these spots are tight. Do you use ScratchX by hand? Tilt the buffer to use only the edge of the pad?

    I thought about this because to get paid for a super detailing job, i'd hate to have these "detail" type spots not be up to par with the larger, flat surfaces such as the hood, trunk, etc.

    let me know.
    thanks

    one more thing

    if you use the machine, have any of you tried the non-meguiar's brand 3.5" or 4" pads for the machine polishers? i'd rather that than by hand

      Bingo! That's what I do and the little pads are my favorite non-Meguiar's tool.
