    Hotels in the area?

Is anyone staying over the night before (Saturday)? I may sign up.
According to google maps it's a 150 mile drive so I'd rather arrive the night before and get a good night's sleep. My current plan is to drive straight from work (Bound Brook,NJ) Saturday around 2:30-3:30 in the afternoon, find a nearby hotel and a nice place to have dinner.

I'm in washington nj. Its like 125-130 mile trip for me. I'm just leaving at 5am. Going to bed(well try to) around 8 or 9pm.

Edit : I dont get it, this class has the most views and replys but has the least amount going

I agree with you scarface, Mike & I were discussing the low attendance compared to the other two classes. Is it because a "deposit" is needed, location, day it is being held or something else.

Well the deposit i wouldn't think would matter, because the tampa roadshow class needed one and that filled up quick. Same with the piscataway nj one (filled up quick). Maybe the location? Its a far ride for me but i'm pretty sure it will be worth it, plus im heading to the piscatway advanced one the following week so this one will prepare me for that one. I'm sure if you did one closer to philly or north of it that you would it would be a bigger hit. I'm not a mod so i don't know if Mike has this feature. But is there a way to sort the members by location? See how many people are in PA? Maybe email them telling them there is a class in Harrisburg. Like i said before though, Harrisburg i think it pretty out in the "boonies". Never been there, only to hershey and that seemed like the boonies. Maybe thats why.

My thoughts on the low sign-up are that it's probably tied to being on a Sunday. In the past we have never even considered holding a class on a Sunday but Rod has such a good relationship with Lynn over at DealerGoodies that we figured, why not? Let's give it a go...

My plane tickets are already bought and paid for, so I'm going to be there for sure. I'm going to send out some e-mails to people that have attended Meguiar's classes asking for help getting the word out on other forums as long as they don't break any other forum's rules.

The fact that it is on a Sunday is pretty much the reason I will not go...I am still contemplating...because I do not want to miss the opportunity, but I have a strong commitment with church, and since I am missed it this previous weekend (CAMPING!), I do not really like the idea of missing two Sunday's in a row...do not get me wrong, going to church on Sunday's arent my saving grace, I just love going.
Still contemplating though, the $30 doesnt bother me, as I have a bit of a list of goodies I want...

Same here. I take my family to church every Sunday and because I know others do this also I was against holding the class on a Sunday because I didn't want to interfere with peoples opportunity to go to church.

At the same time I had to weigh the opportunity to teach another class [b][i]while I was all the way across the United State on the East Coast, approximately 2500 miles and some really long Red Eye Flights.

I also have a company with probably the most perfect facilities for this type of class offering to do the same, that is break away from their normal schedule and work on a Sunday.

This holds true for Rod Kraft, who will end up working solid for at least 2 weeks without a day off.

Re-evaluating the situation with what I've learned from this Roadshow trip, it is highly unlikely another class will ever be scheduled on a Sunday.

That said, the plane tickets have been bought, the rooms booked, the rental car booked, the goodie bags sent, people committed to attending, people committed to working, there is no turning back as we are past the point of no return.

If you decide to attend church and skip the class we completely understand and honor your decision.
