Here's probably the most famous car in the world, the Batmobile on display at the Petersen Museum.

Without a doubt, the 1959 and the 1960 Cadillacs have the biggest and the best fins of any car ever to come out of Detroit! Here's a beautiful 1960 Cadillac Eldorado dropping some guests off for the Gala Event!

When you first arrive at the Petersen Museum, you'll find a display of some very unique and interesting cars on diplay...

This is called the Topper Car because it was designed and used in the movie Topper with Cary Grant and Constance Bennett. You can read more here,

              The Topper Car

Just down from the Topper Car was this German Messerschmitt with Ace Pilot Paul aka the other pc getting ready to take her up!

Just down from the Messerschmitt is this one of a kind REO custom hauler...

Here's the Green Monster Jet Rocket Car!

On the other side of the reception area was this Rolls Royce Phantom...

Out in front of the reception area was a group of Valets reading an willing to drive off in and park all of the exotic and luxury cars pulling in.

Oh how it would have been great to be a valet! 550 Maranello's, Lambo's, Cayman's, and enough Bentley's to open a dealership and have loaner cars!

Mike, Meguiar's, THANK YOU FOR THE OPPORTUNITY! I enjoyed myself beyond belief and will never forget that!

                    THANK YOU Meguiars!

To Barry Meguiar and his lovely wife Karen, Mike Phillips and all the gang from Meguiar’s and Car Crazy, thank you for allowing me the privilege of attending this great event.

For me, car-guy activities usually take place in garages, parking lots and racetracks. Somehow there’s always oil, grease or dirt involved and I usually end up covered with in.

Red carpets, celebrities, news media photographers and gourmet dinners might not sound too car-guy at first but why not? It’s still about the cars and car people. It doesn’t matter if it’s over burgers at a drive-in or fine wine in a museum, if you’re hanging out celebrating cars and car culture it’s all the same.

The first hint was that, even though there was a red carpet and photographers and all, just about everybody drove in themselves. There were only a couple limos (and one of those was a stretched classic beetle). Whether it was a Bentley, a hot rod Ford pickup, a 60’s Camaro or a Prius they all fit right in.

And everybody was cruising around the museum, checking out the cars on exhibit and chitchatting car talk. It was a pleasure wandering amongst such a friendly and upbeat crowd.

I have to say that I’m especially impressed by the celebrities of the car hobby (and trust me, I’m rarely impressed with celebrities). That famous car designer Chip Foose, the man being honored that evening and the beautiful Courtney Hansen, glamorous TV star, took the time to pose with a couple of random internet waxheads, and did so in such a gracious and personable manner, really says something.

It’s probably a good thing I was a little overwhelmed most of the evening. Otherwise I might have done something really embarrassing, like tackle George Barris to get a picture of him and me with the Batmobile or begging Dan Gurney to run for president in 2008.

                    PC.

Uh, yeah. Look, I love cool cars and all, but there's just something about beautiful women, you know? Of course, my wife will only let me play with the cars, so......
