question about step 2 polish

Id like to use the meguiars step2 deep crystal polish. But i already used the clay bar and waxed the car. Can i still use the step 2 on the car? Do i have to wax again after i polish.

any info would help.

P.s. my dad just gave me a 7inch high speed buffer and will be useing it to do it.

You want to polish beofre you wax, as wax is the protecting coat.

What is the high speed buffer you have? The reason i ask is, in unexperienced hands the buffer could be a costly tool.

I had used the same kind of buffer while i was detailing cars for a local honda dealership so i have experience with one. Its like the g100 polisher but larger.

So i just should wait until i need another wax and used the steps.

Couple things to take note of..

Remember also to use a cleaner after the clay bar, you may have, but just didnt mention it. Before you polish, you will want to use a cleaner at least.

But also, the DC #1 and #2 are not designed for machine applcication. Some people get good results, others find it too hard to work with.

You may want to look into the Pro Line, as these products are generaly designed for machine use.

yea when i got my car it was horrible. there was contaminents in the paint. I picked up the clay bar and a clener wax some time ago. And the clay bar was black after i used it. It was bad.

I'll take a look into what you said. Or just wait untill i need a good detail to use the steps.

I just never polished the car would like to.
