is this wax a true wax or does it contain any cleaners?

Gold Class has no cleaners in it.

Just to note, even though Nxt Wax has some cleaners, they are very very mild, and should not be confused with a cleaner/wax.

Gold Class Wax is a polish wax, using the definition of polish as it relates to our pure polishes. That is it's rich in polishing oils to bring out the beauty of a car's paint.

That said, it does contain a small amount of cleaners in it, like NXT Tech Wax, it's not enough to make it a cleaner/wax in that you would use this product on a neglected surface, if your car's paint is dirty, swirled, oxidized, etc. you should pre-clean the paint with a paint cleaner or a cleaner/polish.

Hmm.. here I thought just Nxt/#20 were the waxes with cleaners.

Do waxes like #26, DC#3, #21 also have the very mild cleaners?

To my knowledge, the only paint protection products in the Meguiar's line without any ingredients included in the formula with the intention of cleaning the paint would be,

• * Deep Crystal Carnauba Wax - Which is actually a blended wax, not a wax based solely on Carnauba wax. (Read the back label).
  * M26 Hi Tech Yellow Wax
  * M16 Professional Paste Wax - Discontinued
  * M56 Boat/RV Pure Wax in the Marine Line
