Will cleaner wax clean up my paint?

My car has a bunch of swirl marks in it... In my garage if you look at the reflection of the light bulbs on the celing you can see many many tiny scratches. The program i used was, Wash, Scratch-X, Clay, color X, then NXT. And like i said, the reflection of a lightbuld shows it the best, but there are a bunch of tiny scratches in my paint. And if you move alittle bit u see... more . I can't find anyway to get rid of them. If i was to put cleaner wax on... then put on NXT would it help get rid of some of those scratches? Im thinking about using #9 and then cleaner wax paste, then topping off with either gold class or NXT. DO you think this will help any?

As a small suggestion, I'd clay your vehicle prior to application of Scratch-X.

Scratch-X contains abrasives as well as fillers that help to hide and remove surface imperfections like swirls. By claying after the Scratch-X, you're removing many of those necessary fillers that are in the product and are necessary for it to work properly.

This may or may not solve your problem. If it doesn't, be sure to post back and we can potentially perscribe a more agressive product to remove the swirls that you've talked about. Also, pictures of these swirls in the light you've mentioned can help out substantially!

Oh, I see them. No problem there!

Those look pretty minor though. Scratch-X should be able to deal with those with pretty good results.

Just remember, when it comes time to clay again, clay first and then apply your polishes etc...

It may help however, in my opinion, the help would be somewhat minimal. I really feel that you're going to have to go after those with something that has a bit more abrasive action and is able to better hide/remove the swirls.

My advice, stick with the Scratch-X for those!

Just to add to Rockpick's advice,

I would try Meguiar's #9 Swirl Remover or #82 Swirl Free Polish. Then top with 2 coats of Meg's NXT.
