  • Red Ford Ranger

Hey, my friend has a red '95 Ranger, his paint looks oxidized and the paint on his front bumper and grill is starting to crack. The hood was very hazy, but I clayed his hood, used the DC Paint Cleaner, DC Polish, and Nxt Wax and we were both fairly pleased with the results. I was just wondering what we should use to take care of the cracks, they are very small and barely visible. Is there anything that we can do to minimize the appearance of these scratches?

Anyway, here is a picture or two of his hood, halfway done, they aren't very good, but if you look in the reflections it is easy to see the difference.

Anyway, I appreciate the help. I will be at work all night so I will not be able to answer until tomorrow.

For the swirls you can use Scratch-x.

They aren't swirl marks, they are tiny cracks. Barely visible. Also, it looks like his clearcoat is cracked (is that possible??). There are yellow cracks where things have hit his truck, and it isn't his paint cracking. It won't come of when we wash it or clay it, but it is something on the surface. He also has dark spots on his hood, only a few, is there any way to get rid of them? Sorry for all the questions, but the only way to learn is to ask. Thanks again for the help, I'll be using the scratch x on swirl marks on my girlfriend's car.
