I have more of a zebra effect from the clear coat every coat it gets better. I went from 1500 wet sanding to 2000 then 3000. Would a compound help with

this is what it looks like now
the test spot i did, small oxidize spots coming back, middle looks fine but theres actually small dots all
i was probably wrong about the oxidation coming back 2 days later in the first post.. it was actually probably a week but took a little while to build

yup the pads turned red so its single stage
i put wax on after wards, it didnt seem to last long, i think i used some spray type acrylic
It is a post cleaner.
You want your wheels to be clean before you put the product on.

As for layering Gold Class over Ultimate, I can vouch for it. Tried it last week. After letting two coats of Ultimate Paste cure, I applied Gold Class

I used IronX, then put a good coat of Brake Dust Barrier on, and was easy to clean with just soapy water for several months. Looks to be building up again

What's the condition of the paint at this point? A lot of orange peel or are the reflections just not quite as clear as you'd like? Orange peel is going

Can we assume this is single stage paint - did you applicator pads turn red when working on it? If so, yes, it's single stage. If not, then it's a base

I've had success with all-purpose cleaners and a wheel brush. Might take a couple of goings-over. I've always been afraid of using "wheel cleaner"
