Just curious how people find getting spray bottles of detailer/wax/wheel cleaner etc shipped... Does anyone ever have any leakage? How are the products packed? wrapped in plastic or just shipped in a box with the rest of the products?

I've had a slight issue with getting products from the NZ distributor this week. The only time I've ever ordered online in the past there was one bottle of UWAWA in the order, but there were no leakages in that instance... This time I ordered 2 bottles of Multi-Piece wheel cleaner, some brushes and cloths, and when the original package came, it was dropped off at my gate sopping wet, and half a bottle of the wheel cleaner had soaked all through my package. I suspect the fault lays mainly with the courier, as the package was labelled as flammable and had right side up stickers on it, though I suspect the neck of the offending bottle couldn't have been tight.

The distributor, in full fairness, promptly sorted out a replacement for the leaky bottle and all contaminated items, so I fully praise them for that... Funnily enough though, the replacement package arrived today and there was some very, very minor leakage again... Not enough to dampen the cloths, but one corner of the box had some wetness... Also not enough of a problem to contact the distributor again.... But I don't think I'll make a mixed order again, just incase a repeat happens. If I ever want some UWAWA or wheel cleaners that I can't get from my local brick and mortar, it'll be as a stand-alone order with no mitts or cloths etc...

Hello All,

I live in Canada and have been enjoying the benefits of renting a parking spot in my building's heated garage. I've been able to maintain good protection on my paint and clean windows. As recommended on this site I've been using Meguiar's Rinse Free Express Wash (amazing by the way!). This time around, I got the car scrubbed by a soft wash car wash (It was advertised as a touchless :wall:) and went over it with the RFEW after parking it for some time. Then I waxed it with Ultimate Wax. I always use the swipe test and did so on this one after an hour of waiting (yes it's cold but it's humid still) but found that Meguiar's Ultimate Wax is sticking to my paint. All the BIFF'ing in the world won't take it off and it only "sticks" in some areas. Most notably, on the roof right now (which is 98% to 99% smooth).

It's just a sample bottle but so far I'm not liking it. I'll likely snag some #21 2.0 and use that along side #16.

Hello,

I recently received a replacement g110v2 and had a chance a couple of weeks back to finally test it out. I have seen a couple of demonstrations of the cruise control feature on youtube (like the video below) and wanted to see/hear it myself.

However when i tried it myself (on speed 1) the machine starts to rev when I apply pressure onto the machine (video demonstration below). I posted a thread a while back about this experience, but have not received feedback from other g110v2 users if this was normal or not; link here:http://www.meguiarsonline.com/forums...G110V2-Revving

So to summarize my concern, is the revving normal in speed 1? Could this imply that there is something wrong with the cruise control mechanism? The Meguiar's video demonstration uses speed 2 and I also tested the cruise control with it. I noticed two things. First the sound of the cruise control kicking in was faint to almost nothing (unlike the video). Secondly, I also noticed that the pad spins only when it is pushed down by the weight of the machine, and when I use heavy pressure, but with slight to moderate pressure it causes the pad to stop. Does cruises control only respond to heavy pressure, and not moderate?

Hope to get some feedback and insight from Customer Service and also other members that come across this thread.

Thank you.

So, here's the correspondence I had with Meguars, I am in no way trying to cheat them whatsoever...

Me:
Hello, I had a gallon of M105 (the newer formula) along with a half gallon of the old formula still. I store the products in my garage and haven't used much 105 since D300 was released and now M101. When I went to check the bottles, the old formula was still intact but the new formula was like a milky white substance and it didn't matter how much I shook the bottle it still stayed in that consistency. It was a barely used gallon, maybe about 4 oz... I had poured it out and considered it a loss, but I was speaking with Kevin Brown on the phone this evening about it, he told me to contact you for a replacement. If that's possible, could I get D300 instead or the new M100?
I've attached a picture of the gallon and poured some out on the plate...
Thank you for your time, Tom

Meguiars:
Tom,

We can only replace the product you are having an issue with. Considering the high value and quantity of the item, you will have to mail the product back as proof of purchase. If you have any further questions, please contact us direct.

Me:

Nice customer service...

Considering all the new compounds out now that are superior to 105, I'm not about to pay the shipping to send the gallon back...

Thanks for the help!

Tom

P.S. most of it was poured out as I stated in my original post...

Hello,

I recently purchased a Meguiar's G110V2 and had no luck with 2 of them so far. The first one, had cracks in the plastic and looked like someone used it with a backing plate and no washer. I contacted the Meguiar's Rep from the auto show that I bought the polisher from and agreed on an exchange for the second one.

The second one had a loose end cover with a speed dial that is smooth from speeds 1-4 but gets stuck after (when i push the cover back to where it's suppose to be). Here's a thread I opened about the 2nd polisher's issue: http://www.meguiarsonline.com/forums...d-Dial-problem. When i told him about the problems with the second polisher (the loose end cover and stuck speed dial), he did not have anymore to exchange with me so he said he'll look at it with his "service guy" and try to fix it. So i went back and dropped it off.

I called him about a week later to see what the situation was, but he seemed oblivious to what I initially told him was wrong with the polisher. All he did was test the polisher, and did not look at the problem with the cap or notice that the speed dial actually gets stuck. I am also not sure why he had to wait for me to call him to tell me that he did not diagnose a problem. I reminded him of the problem with the polisher, and he took a look at it again and told me he sees what the problem is now.

After about another week's time, he tells me it's ready to be picked up. I wanted to make sure everything was good before I made my 4th trip there. He told me he just tightened the screw at the end to tighten up the end cover. This did not sound like he looked at the speed dial problem and once again I brought up the point that speed dial gets stuck when i tried pushing the end cover closer to the body (which i told him more than once before). He looks at it again tells me he sees the problem and he will get back to me. So now I am waiting for him again...

I hope you can see where the frustration stems from, as the situation is dragging on unnecessarily and going back and forth from his city to mine to exchange/drop off the polisher is a long drive from where I live. However I am to blame for not making 100% sure that the polisher was in good condition before I left.

Should I just take my polisher back now and if i send it to Meguiar's, will I get a replacement (I am from Canada)? I bought the polisher about a month ago and have NOT been able to even use it because of this situation. Also my backing plate (below) looks kind of used....is that normal? There are a bunch of scratches on the surface on the other side as well. Hopefully I can get a faster reply through the forums rather than using the contact form on the Meguiar's site.

Thank you

Is this common for Meguiar's spray products, or am I the most unlucky guy in the world?

If you send an email at Meguiars website in the form, do you get a confirmation message?

I sent a message and when I click submit, it just shoots me back to the form with all my information still in the form?

Is it going through?

Thanks!

I've had a G220 since Feb 2010. The unit has been used twice totaling around 10hours of usage. The second time it was used I managed to polish half a car before it died. I checked fuse and basics but still didn't work. So I contacted Meguiars UK as recommended on other threads here with faulty G220's. Spoke to chap called Tom Clarke.

Firstly Meguiars mis-placed my unit. Nearly 3 weeks later they found it. Then I was to be told that the unit was of good value and it will be returned. I was like what?
Has it been repaired/fixed/replaced? No. Meguairs UK don't do repairs. So now I'm stuck with a G220 in mint condition which is dead with only 10hours on the motor. Out of pocket of 200 ($400) and not a happy bunny. First time I've had to experience Meguiars customer services and its really been atrocious.

Hi there I am from Port Elizabeth South Africa and we have just recently opened a car care and valet centre.
Your office in Durban has a lady with the worst possible customer service. As a new client I was treated very poorly on an incident where my polishing machine went faulty. I was told that there are no point of sale and advertising material available to show my customers that I use your products when polishing customers vehicles. I was promised aprons/signage/t shirts and caps.
I have received nothing to present. Your company brags about customer service and product satisfaction , I haven't seen this come through in South Africa.
Thanking you.

Just venting some frustrations with the MF cutting disks.

I've been using them since the day they came out and I was one of the lucky ones who didn't have any delaminating occur with my first batch. In the past 2 months I've had 12 of them fail. I spoke to George over in Customer Care last week and he told me to send my faulty ones in and they would be replaced. (AWESOME!!)

Well, I had some corrections already scheduled so I went to my local detail supplier since I was pressed for time (Wash Solutions) and purchased 4 of them to get me by since I already had a few more in my arsenal. I purchased these last friday and they lasted two panels each on my PC (non xp) at speed 4-5 with D300 and M105. Did I just get an old batch? What has changed with these pads to help the delaminating from happening? I'm not over working the pads at all and have a ton for that very reason. I really want to only use these cutting disks because I've found they cut faster and better than any of the other MF disks out there. (I have yet to try the Lake Country ones)

This isn't a bash at all, just more of a frustration and wondering if anything has changed with these?

Thanks

Brian
