Because of rainy weather and a major road trip, the black Hemi went for a very long time (three weeks) without a wash.

I washed the Hemi this morning using the Ultra Plush Wash Mitt on the hood and top and the large and small Versa Angle Brushes on the side panels. The truck was not muddy. It just had a good layer of road scum on it.

The mitt did a fine job on the hood and top. However it appeared that the brushes did not remove all of the scum on the side panels. Of course all of this could be my imagination.

Do the brushes not actually lift as much road film off the surface as a cotton or synthetic mitt do? Has anyone else expienced this with the brushes?

Hi Tom,

Your truck....3 weeks without a wash!!!!!!!! ???  :LOLOL:

Seriously, I think it has more to do with the amount of pressure being applied to the brush compared to the mitt. With the mitt, you feel exactly how much pressure you are applying to the paint. But with the brush, that assessment of pressure will be different. It also may be that we have been pre-conditioned with the use of the old carwash brushes from the coin-up. I know I was very nervous about using the new brushes on my paint. But as soon as I tried it, and saw absolutely no marring, I was just floored!!! But I still find myself using light pressure with it, though I KNOW there is no reason to be worried! It is an awesome product!!! :xyxthumbs :xyxthumbs :xyxthumbs
