At this time of the year, when days are short and road conditions sometimes pretty bad, it's really crucial to keep car glass in good shape. Many times I experienced pure visibility during night driving and that's not fun at all.

I use two Meguiar's products: D120 Glass Cleaner Concentrate and NxT Glass Cleaner. D120 comes in 1-gallon Detailer Line container and dilutes 10:1, so in most cases it lasts a long time, I like its cleaning ability very much. NxT Glass Cleaner I usually keep handy (including one bottle in my car's trunk), I like its protecting film but its cleaning power is below D120's.

Let's take a look at Meguiar's newest 2012 Perfect Clarity Glass Cleaner. I tested its small 6-oz. version which comes with WalMart Holiday Gift Set.

Its scent is very similar to NxT Glass Cleaner.

I must say that its cleaning ability is really great. In one pass it removed almost all the dirt. For testing purposes I did two passes on each window: first up - down & then left - right. I would even give it a slight advantage over D120 in cleaning power.

Final verdict:

This product really cleans well and improves glass clarity. It's definitely going into my arsenal.

Thanks for sharing Greg.

I am also a nut about keeping glass clean & streak free. Makes driving at night a more pleasant experience.

Gonna have to give this product a try.

Thanks for the review Greg!!!

Your car / windows didn't look dirty at all.

Would you say that this is better than both NXT and D120?

I've never used glass cleaner at all. I will have to give this a shot since I also got the Walmart giftpack.

Good stuff, Greg, thanks!

What's really cool about Perfect Clarity is that it's available as both a trigger spray and aerosol. If you're a big fan of lightly foaming aerosol cleaners, you'll really love Perfect Clarity!

Thanks Greg. My wife is really picky about glass cleaner, but cold temperatures prevented my putting a bottle in her car to get the opinion of my "local" expert. You'll do for now :)

I look forward to trying the aerosol.

I should be recieving my aerosol from Autogeek on Tuesday. Looking forward to it!
I bought a gallon of the Detailer Glass Cleaner late last summer and have only used a couple of ounces and have plenty left.

Still waiting for Walmart to bring some new products. Our stores did not have any gift packs. Stopped at Pep Boys in Buffalo NY and nothing there.

after cleaning my windows with a glass cleaner(not perfect clarity) there doesnt look like there any streaks but when driving and light passes thru the window you can see streaks, what causes that and with that happen with perfect clarity?

There could be several reasons: soap still left on glass, contamination (either on glass or on towel used), glass not fully cleaned - more passes needed, circular motion used instead left-right and up-down, wrong type of towel used (microfiber definitely performs best).

I didn't notice any streaking at all after Perfect Clarity Glass Cleaner use and I drove in sunlight.

Able to tell if inside or out?

I also like to use an LED flashlight to check the glass even when working in normal lighting conditions. This seems to help greatly.

I would clay the windows after washing and then give them final glass cleaner treatment.

Not sure if clay will help. Paint cleaner maybe.

I always felt like using RainX after gave a little extra cleaning, helped clear up any steaks.

Hey guys, nice product. I've tried RainX as well, best for fogged up windows especially in my country.

I'm currently waiting for my glass cleaner product "Stoner Invisible Glass Reach & Clean". Anyone used this before? Apparently one of the popular ones out in the market atm.
