In need of some help at Barrett-Jackson, Orange County 6/24-26

The Barrett-Jackson Collector Car Auctions is rolling into the Orange County Fairgrounds for their second annual OC Auction..... and we could use a bit of assistance from some local MOL members.

As you may know, Meguiar's is in charge of wiping down every single car before it crosses the auction block. We get all the heavy dust off them before they get inside the arena, and that's where you come in (hopefully). We need to have two guys on hand, wiping down cars at all times during auction hours. Auction hours meaning the following:

Friday, June 24th—1:00pm to auction close (around 8 or 9)
Saturday, June 25th—1:00pm to auction close (around 8 or 9)
Sunday, June 26th—11:30am to auction close (around 6 or 6:30)

If you're available for a full day, half a day, all three days, or any combination thereof, we'd love to hear from you. Of course we'll get you into the event for free, put a Meguiar's shirt on your back that you'll get to take home with you, and hook you up with a bunch of free product. In return, you'll be asked to do nothing more than use a bit of Quik Detailer to wipe down every car that comes through the staging area. Nothing heavy duty, no buffing, no polishing, no waxing, wheel cleaning interior cleaning - just QD a bunch of cool cars.

So check your schedules and let us know when you might be available. Please don't offer unless you know you can make it for sure - we're going to be putting together a schedule for everyone and don't want to be caught out. Just respond to this thread if interested.

Glad to hear that Meguiar’s will be at the Orange County

will be up-staged by someone that can get into the
auction on a “Senior Discount Ticket” you can count

I did this last year and it was a blast. You guys are in for a treat. Even though you are just wiping down cars with QD, the cars you are wiping down are pretty awesome.

Mike, I'm open on Sunday June 26, but if someone else who hasn't had the opportunity to help out at Barret Jackson wants to work on Sunday, go ahead and let them take it. If not, I'm in!

Just curious, do you use regular trigger sprayers? I've seen some sprayers where you charge them up with air. Just saw a pump up hand sprayer at an a/c SHOP. BLACK FLAG , I think, has a battery operated bug sprayer.
