I'm ready to purchase the PC through the on-line special. Besides the package items included with the special, what else should I get?

Waxes?

The cars I am going to be doing are in decent shape, (minor swirls, light scratches, some tar and sap spots), so what waxes am i going to need? I already have NXT. I want to get the best possible results out of the PC prior to applying the NXT, so what should I order?

Pads?

Anything else?

if you're going to use the pc a lot,i advice you:
PADS,i didn't expect that a this point,i would own so many pads.
i use dedicated pads for each product,at this point,i have about 8 pads i use regular, and i have 4 pads laying around "in stock"
if you detail a lot, you'll need towels as well.don't go cheap on your toweling, believe it or not,a good towel is worth its money, and will pay off on the long run.
buy a bundle of micrfibers, and a bundle of 100% cotton tery cloth towels.
and then there are the chemicals.
i would recommend dacp # 83,a real must have in my opinion,
a good polish,like dc step 1,
a quick clay set,and wax,i almost would say,buy the megs product you like best, their all good.

if any questions, feel free to ask,

regards,
Rick

Thanks Mike. I have seen that thread but to be honest, my head is kinda spinning with all the numbers being thrown around...:D

I have a question. If I get #83, and #80, what would be a good polish to use with the PC, (3, 5, 7, 81), before applying NXT?

Would the polish be necessary if i am going to be apply NXT anyway?

Does the color of the cars matter as far as using polish after the cleaners? If so, two of the vehicles are Maroon and the other is polo green

Or would #83, #9, #7, NXT be a good combo?

Yeah, I know what that's like, experienced it myself quite a few years ago...

If you use #83 and follow that with #80 Speed Glaze, you should be good to go as far as applying any wax. The #80 Speed Glaze is very rich in polishing oils like a pure polish. If you want a non-abrasive, pure polish, then I would go with either the Deep Crystal Polish, (in a 16 ounce bottle), or the #81 Hand Polish, (only available in a 32 oz bottle). Both polishes word great by hand or with the G-100.

Meguiar's states that polishing with a pure polish is an optional step that the results are best seen on dark colored and black paints. If I use Speed Glaze with the PC, I rarely follow that with an application of a pure polish mostly because of time restrictions I tend to be regulated by and because the finish always looks so good after the Speed Glaze.

See above.

I would go,

Wash
Clay
#83
#80
Tech Wax x 2

Or if you like,

Wash
Clay
#83
#80
Deep Crystal Polish or #80 Hand Polish
Tech Wax x 2

How's that sound?

If you don't have a Grit Guard, I would definitely get one of these,

Grit Guard Insert (http://www.meguiars.com/store_meguiars/product_detail.cfm?sku=G-408)

Also I have really grown fond of Meguiar's Lambs Wool Wash Mitt (http://www.meguiars.com/store_meguiars/product_detail.cfm?sku=G-405)

http://www.meguiars.com/store_meguiars/images/product_g405.gif

See my comments about it here,

Also, Ultimate Bonnets and Ultimate Wipes are always hand to have, 2-3 Ultimate Bonnets should do you, the best deal on Ultimate wipes is the 20-Pack
