1. Wash w/Gold Class Car Wash Shampoo & Conditioner (http://www.meguiars.com/store_meguiars/product_detail.cfm?sku=G-71)
2. Clay w/Meguars Clay and Last Touch Spray Detailer (http://www.meguiars.com/store_meguiars/product_detail.cfm?sku=D-155)
3. Wash w/Gold Class Car Wash Shampoo & Conditioner (http://www.meguiars.com/store_meguiars/product_detail.cfm?sku=G-71)
4. #9 2.0 Swirl Remover (http://www.meguiars.com/store_meguiars/product_detail.cfm?sku=M-09)
5. Body Shop Professional Hand Polish (http://www.meguiars.com/store_meguiars/product_detail.cfm?sku=M-81)
6. NXT Generation Tech Wax (http://www.meguiars.com/store_meguiars/product_detail.cfm?sku=G-127) (2 Coats)

I applied all products with my PC then removed all by hand with Microfiber towels, except the NXT, it was removed with a Ultimate Bonnet (http://www.meguiars.com/store_meguiars/product_detail.cfm?sku=M-99).

I detailed the wheels using:
1. Deep Crystal Paint Cleaner (http://www.meguiars.com/store_meguiars/product_detail.cfm?sku=A-30)
2. Polished with #81 Body Shop Professional Hand Polish (http://www.meguiars.com/store_meguiars/product_detail.cfm?sku=M-81)
3. NXT Generation Tech Wax (http://www.meguiars.com/store_meguiars/product_detail.cfm?sku=G-127) (should stand up to the heat)

After all that I applied some Gold Class Endurance High Gloss (http://www.meguiars.com/store_meguiars/product_detail.cfm?sku=G-75) to the tires.

I moved on to the trim using #38 Tire & Trim Dressing Gel (http://www.meguiars.com/store_meguiars/product_detail.cfm?sku=M-38) on all the black plastic. The bed cover and interior got a shot of NXT Generation Tech Protectant (http://www.meguiars.com/store_meguiars/product_detail.cfm?sku=G-129). Finished up by polishing my exhaust tips up with some NXT Generation All Metal Polysh (http://www.meguiars.com/store_meguiars/product_detail.cfm?sku=G-130).

Here is a neat reflection shot on my right side door. I Have a flag on my garage wall and after some moving around I managed to get what I wanted. (For those who notice the flag is properly displayed on the wall it was turned around only for the photo.)

What microfiber towel are you using? Is it the one from Costco? If so, how does it do?

Here is the engine. This was a simple detail:
1. Wiped engine down with Orange Blast
2. Sprayed engine with CD-2 Engine Detailer

Having never used CD-2 Engine Detailer before I was very happy with how well it looks. I will say it took an hour to fully dry and I used half the can. The spray head on the can does a poor job of evenly spraying the product. Well anyway here is the end result...

The night before - I spent 2 hours to wash/clay/rewash/dry and tape off all the plastic. Then the next day 5-6 hours for everything else and the clean up. There were a few breaks here and there for a little Power Ade.

Being the owner of a black S-10 Xtreme, i can really appreciate the time and effort put into a project like this. A man's love for his truck can only be shown with a wonderful display such as this one. I must say that the paint looks exceptional and the engine speaks for itself.

People don't realize how much "fun" it is to go around a STEPSIDE truck with a PC. Its tedious to say the least. But the sexy, curvatious end result is well worth it.

hopefully i can have pics of mine up soon to compete with this one, but i can only wish that i could compete with you in a race.
(unless i stumble upon $3000 with which i would buy a vortec supercharger for my 4.3L) hehe

Job well done,

Stevo

Xtreme99_s-Dime...

I sold my Xterme to get the L... It was a good little truck and fun to drive, even better if you add a super charger!

manueljlg...

I sprained my ankle quite bad 3 weeks back and have not been able to hand wash my truck I too am wondering how its holding up on the wheels, hard to tell with out washing them by hand. I plan on wasing it by hand in the next day or two.
