Water First or Degrease First?

1)I was wondering which of this method come first. Do u water hose the engine first before degreasing it and than rinsing it with water OR you degrease first and than Rinsing it with water?

2)can you use Shampoo like gold Class for cleaning and than rinse it , than follow with Degreaser?

I tend to spray it down first, there may be some other opinions though. You can use a car wash soap.

I usually rinse the engine off to get all the dust and loose dirt off. Then I spray on a degreaser and let it soak while brushing areas that need it. After that I rinse it off with a steady stream of water and dry all the plastic/paint off.

Once everything is dry I spray on hyper dressing then wipe it back off to give a nice matt finish. :)
